“Here We Go Again”
(2022) graphite on vellum, 17x12

From Grandma’s Journal:
“I was staying with a hairdresser in the Shinjuku area. We stayed in the second story above the beauty parlor. The bombing raids usually began at 10 at night. Someone would shout, “Here we go again!” and we had to run into the shop. We didn’t bother seeking a bomb shelter, because I was certain that if they were going to get me, they’d get me anywhere.”
